GoHigher can guide students' academic and professional planning, helping them discover personal dreams while setting and reaching goals.

Tools help students with:

• Choosing a college or university
• Choosing a major or trade
• Finding out about the courses, grades and scores required for the schools of their choice
• Storing information and action items
• Exploring education and career possibilities
• Understanding how to finance their dreams
• Understanding which activities can help them succeed

The three steps to finding a career path are:

• Self-knowledge. Students can use the Career Key to find out more about their interests, skills and values.
• Exploration. Students can find descriptions of hundreds of careers at the List of Careers, with the majors preferred for those careers and the Kentucky colleges that offer those majors.
• Game plan. Parents and students can work together using the Career Key results and the Career Matching Assistant. Summer jobs, paid and unpaid internships and volunteer work can help students find out if they are truly interested in a particular field.
